Welcome back Year 5!
Our PE day for this half-term is on a Wednesday.
We have already had so much fun this half-term. Below is an insight into what we have been up to. If you look at our gallery at the bottom of this page, you will see even more fun learning.
Year 5 Apprentice Day
This section will be updated shortly when the total profit we made has been calculated.
Below is a snippet of some of our fabulous learning during Spring 1:
Year 5 Dates:
Tuesday 26th and Wednesday 27th March - Year 5 parents evening dates.
Thursday 28th March - School closes for Easter.
Monday 15th April - School opens for Summer term.
Every day, pupils will need:
. A clear, re-usable water bottle.
. Their book bag.
. A PE kit (to be left at school in a drawstring bag).
. Their banded book and library book.
. Pupils can also bring a fresh fruit or vegetable snack to eat at break. This will be kept in their trays.
Summer 1, Week 4

Word class: adjective (a describing word).
Definition: the most important; the main one.
Example: The principal issue that I had to overcome was getting down from my now humungous chair!
The person who wins this award shows extra dedication, incredible patience and perseverance and a drive to become a more independent learner.

Activity 1: Spellings.
Our spelling focus is to spell words that are homophones.
You can use the Spelling Shed link at the bottom of our class page to practise your spellings. Just type in the stage and list number.
Stage 5, List 28:
Learn these spellings for a spelling test on Friday 10th May.
Activity 2: Three reads
Reading books will come home each day. A library book will come home at the end of each week. Complete your 3 x 15-minute reads. Comment in your reading record and ask an adult to sign it off. Return it to school every day. Remember, 3 reads = a TrackIt point and you will get another TrackIt point for any other read you complete.
Activity 3: Maths practise worksheet or a reading sheet.
